Created and facilitated by Anni Reinking. This online, self-paced course will assist educators in understanding biases and microaggressions that occur in learning environments. While the terms ``implicit bias” and “microaggressions” have been hot topic terms for many years, it is important to understand their definitions, the impacts of those concepts, and how to counteract or prevent them from ever occurring in learning environments in the first place. Throughout this course we will understand biases and microaggressions, but we will also discuss microaffirmations and other strategies to develop a learning environment where every student feels as if they belong.
